Arena Rules

The rules everyone plays by

These apply to every group that uses the Arena. The coach or organizer who booked the slot is responsible for making sure their group follows them. The rink is monitored by video surveillance 24 hours a day.

Before you play

  • Inspect the ice surface, boards and benches before each session.
  • If conditions are unsafe, tell the rink attendant. If no attendant is available, do not use the ice.
  • Everyone signs a waiver before going on the ice. Parents sign for minors.
  • Review your waiver report before each session and check every player is on it.

On the rink

  • Full equipment is required for all players.
  • Coaches wear a helmet at all times when on the ice.
  • No bodychecking or intentional body contact.
  • No horseplay.
  • Keep the bench doors closed during play.

Safety and conduct

  • Parents stay on site while their child is playing.
  • No alcohol, no smoking, no open flames: fires, grills or fire pits.
  • Do not enter restricted areas or retrieve pucks from restricted zones.
  • No unsupervised children.

After your session

  • Pick up all tape, bottles and trash. Leave the rink clean.
  • Last group of the night (8:30 PM slot) also: take the nets and pucks off the ice, close all rink doors, switch the rink lights off at the Zamboni garage, and close the gates behind you.
