Flexible Arena is changing the landscape of hockey on Long Island. Growing the game we all love for no cost for the players.
Flexible IT is proud to give back to the community through the Flexible Arena.
Why it exists
It started during COVID as somewhere safe to play and grew into a year-round facility: ice in the winter, roller in the summer. Flexible IT built it, funds every part of running it, and takes nothing back out. The building, the refrigeration, the resurfacing, the upkeep: all of it is covered on our side and none of it gets passed along. No ice fees, no dues, no hourly rate, and it will always be that way.
What teams around Long Island pay to practice. A single season of regular ice runs into the thousands before anyone laces up.
Every slot, every week, ice or roller. There is no version of this where you get a bill.
Open time on the schedule week in, week out. Ice from November through May, roller from June through October.
Slots start in the early afternoon and run through the night, so they fit around school, work and practice.
That's the only requirement. You're booking as a team, not as individuals, and the ice is yours.
If you're part of an organized team, you're good to go. Reach out and we'll find you a slot.
That's the whole model. Teams that were paying thousands a season just to get on the ice now get the same hours for free, and the money goes back where it belongs: to the families and the players, instead of the rink. More about the Arena
LiveBarn venue
Every event at Flexible Arena streams live and stays on demand for 30 days, so family and friends never miss a shift. Clip highlights, share them, and pull up any game from any device.
Getting started
Slots, waivers and team information all live in one place. Coaches set the team up, players and parents sign in to join it. Once a team is approved the booking calendar opens up.
The rink stays free because everyone treats it the same way. These are the ground rules.
The full house rules live on the arena rules page.

Questions
If your question is not here, call the rink and a person will pick up.
Yes. All ice and roller time at Flexible Arena is completely free. The rink is funded and maintained by Flexible IT, so teams and organizations use the facility at no cost.
Youth teams, travel teams, school teams, rec and men's league teams, college teams and first responder teams. You book as an organization, not as an individual.
If you coach or manage a team, create a team in the portal. Once you are approved you get access to the booking calendar, which allows one slot per week.
65 ft by 130 ft.
All players must wear full hockey equipment, including a helmet with a face shield. Coaches must wear a helmet at all times.
Thanks to the roof, the rink can be used in any weather. It does need to be below 70 degrees to hold ice.
If the slot you want is taken for several weeks running, call us at (631) 756-0404 and we will work something out.

Great place run by great people
An amazing place.
Awesome group of people who really do go above and beyond beyond… we need more people like you in today's world!
Very cool rink. I've had a lot a phone playing ice hockey with old buddies.
Flexible rink is the best! Owners are super friendly and put the interests of the community first.
Absolutely amazing facility. Has everything you could need to run a practice and the ice/roller surface has always been pristine.
Flexible has been a wonderful experience! Out of all the rinks that I have run practices at, this is by far my favorite! There is something special about being on the ice with both my boys.
Flexible arena is one of a kind! They give back to the community and Ive had nothing but a great experience and time here. They put on weekly pickup games during the winter and even had a roller hockey tournament which was a great success
This is the first place I played goal when I came back to hockey after 17 years. I looked like a baby deer learning to walk in the crease but everyone was awesome. Kept coming back for more. Can't wait to go back again this winter. Great place to skate. High level. Always a great group.
Flexible runs a great ODR in Hauppauge that has become a favorite spot in town. The rink is always full of energy and laughter, making it a fun place for everyone. It keeps the kids busy during the long winter months when there isn't much else to do outside. Friends gather there almost every day, skating, playing hockey, and enjoying the cold weather together. Seth makes sure it's well taken care of, so it's always ready for the next game or skate session.
Flexible Ice Arena is always well maintained and a great opportunity for my teams to skate together and get practice time! We even celebrated a b-day there!
Last year was a lot of fun for our team!
We had some very spirited 3 on 3 inter squad games. The extra ice was beneficial for skills and unwinding from the pressure of High school games.
Did I mention Fun?
Fun for the players, fun for the parents and fun for the coaching staff.
Thank you Flexible for giving back to the Long Island hockey community!
The principles at Flexible Business Systems have done one of the greatest services to the hockey community on Long Island with the addition of Flexible Arena.
Ice time on Long Island is at a premium and to provide it to the hockey community from youth leagues to first responders free of charge is truly extraordinary.
My Mini Mites team of 5 to 7 year olds have had the privilege of playing both on the ice and , just yesterday, on the new roller hockey surface.
They have never left without huge smiles in their faces and their skill level gets better every time we get the opportunity to practice there
Flexible Arena is an absolute gem for small-ice hockey!
This hidden spot outside of a tech company offers one of the best setups for 3v3 or 4v4 hockey anywhere. The rink is covered from the elements, and while the changing rooms are mini connex boxes, they're clean, convenient, and add to the charm of the place.
The ice itself is top-notch, smooth, fast, and maintained better than most full-size rinks. Our club, Hometown Heroes, has hosted multiple 3v3 tournaments and open skates here, and every time the experience has been incredible. The facility has always welcomed us free of charge, which says so much about their generosity and commitment to the hockey community.
We're truly grateful for the team behind Flexible Arena and can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a fun, high-quality hockey experience on a small sheet.
