Coach / Organizer

When your group uses the facility, you are responsible for ensuring the following rules are followed. Please be aware that the rink is monitored 24 hours a day via video surveillance.

  • You must inspect the rink surface, boards, and player bench area before each session. If an unsafe condition exists, you must notify the rink attendant. If no attendant is on duty to rectify the situation, DO NOT use the rink.
  • If you notice that the ice conditions are unsafe or become unsafe, you must discontinue play.
  • Players must wear full equipment, including a mouth guard and neck guard.
  • You must sign a waiver and make sure every player using the ice has signed a waiver.
  • Review your waiver report before each slot. If a participant’s name is not on the report, have them fill out the waiver at www.flexiblearena.com before they go on the rink.
  • If a coach is going on the rink they MUST wear a helmet at all times. We reserve the right to ban coaches who refuse to wear a helmet.
  • Please instruct your group to park in the west side parking lot. Stay on the sidewalk and enter through the gate at center ice.
  • Parents must remain on the property if their minor child is playing.
  • Before you leave, make sure all tape, bottles, and garbage is placed in a garbage can.
  • No alcoholic beverages or smoking is allowed.
  • Spectators assume all risk for any injury due to snow, ice, sticks, pucks, or any other hazard that may exist at an outdoor ice rink.
  • No fires, fire pits, grills, or open flames.
  • Do not retrieve pucks that are in restricted areas.
  • While playing, the bench doors must be closed.
  • If you’re the last group, remove the nets, make sure the gates by the benches are closed, shut off the lights and close the gates.

Before You Leave the Rink

  1. Remove Nets and Pucks from the Ice
    • Please remove all nets and pucks from the ice surface. Leaving nets on the ice overnight can cause them to melt through the surface. (For roller nets stay in the crease)
  2. Close All Rink Doors
    • Ensure all rink doors are closed. Leaving them open allows cold air to escape and affects the ice quality.
  3. Close the Gates Behind You
    • Once the arena is clean and everyone has left, close the gates behind you to secure the facility.
