About Us
The idea for the rink wasn’t always a lifelong goal—it was more of a “what if” moment that turned into reality. The founders, who met playing hockey in college, had always loved the game but never imagined they’d one day build a rink of their own. Then the pandemic happened. The light bulb moment — let’s make an outdoor space where kids of all ages can play hockey.
During the pandemic, the open-air design made the rink a rare, safe haven for hockey players. It became one of the few places where teams and players, young and old, could still gather, bringing much-needed normalcy in uncertain times.
In its early days, operating the rink was challenging due to inconsistent winter weather, with warm temperatures and rain often disrupting the season. After three seasons of battling the elements, the decision was made to go all in. A roof was added in 2024, making the rink more reliable and ensuring it could continue to serve local teams, schools, and organizations, no matter the weather.
Today, the rink is a true community space where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to share their love of the game, always free of charge. What started as a “what if” has become a beloved asset for the hockey community.
